Biography
From central Portugal to dancefloors nationwide. DJ since 1998, producer and host of a radio show broadcast from north to south.
Nelson Santos was born in Coimbra in 1979 and started playing in 1998. More than 28 years later, DJ NS still does what he has always done best: read the dancefloor and take it, track by track, where it wants to go.
The sound is house — with forays into deep and tech house — always with groove and a clear thread from the first track to the last. That identity also carries into the studio, with original tracks and remixes released on Industry of House and Mercado Paralelo.
Along the way he has played clubs, bars, sunsets and summer festivals, including events such as Sasha Summer Sessions and Douro In Clubbing.
Away from the booth, DJ NS hosts a radio show broadcast on stations across mainland Portugal and Madeira: one hour of house, deep and tech in every session, with episodes also available on Mixcloud.

Today he splits his time between clubs and bars, sunsets, private and corporate events and weddings — from house to 80s and 90s classics, with the same rule as always: the right music, at the right moment, for the people on the dancefloor.
In the press
“Luck takes hard work — and sometimes talent isn't enough.”
In November 2016, Pombal Jornal marked DJ NS's 18 years behind the decks with a party at Kiay. The piece highlighted his “ability to read and analyse the dancefloor”, the versatility that took him to venues from north to south, and his regular presence at the Festas do Bodo.
